New here
Hello everyone.
I wish I was here for a good reason. I have a problem with my car and don't want to take it in. Eventhough it is still under the factory warranty.
It keeps throwing the P0300 code. I have replaced all the ignition componets and plugs as well. It idles like my other car that has big cams in it and surges and jerks under light load while crusing. Heaver throttle it seems okay though. The new plugs and coil didn't help at all. It always starts right up and after a few seconds it starts to lope and run like crap. It has never died though. Anyways hope you guys can help. It's not a bad little car.

welcome to the board. sorry to hear of your troubles.
if you have replaced the wires and plugs. then you should probably take it in, even though you don't want to.
i guess you are aware p0300 is multiple cylinders misfiring. coils typically don't go bad early on these cars. but if you would like to replace that, its another option.
good luck.

I had the battery disconnected twice already. Once when I did the plugs and wires and again when I did the coil. Same result the SES light stays off for a few days with it running like crap and then it will come on again and go off a few days later. I am reaching the end of my rope and it is a short rope.

bosch does make a copper plug, which is the one he is running i believe.
any set of wires should be good and typically napa has some quality stuff.

Nothing of what I have done has effected the way it is running!
It does start quicker with the MSD coil though. I don't think it is ignition related. I am going to borrow a timing light and test all of the cylinders and see what I come up with.
I was told a crack in the intake manifold is a problem or the rubber boot at the T.B. Any thoughts on that?

a leak like that would cause a high idle. i dont believe it would cause what you are describing, but its always worth a check when you have problems.
the bellows tube (rubber piece between TB and intake manifold) are known to crack. you can start spraying around with carb cleaner and if you notice a change in idle then you found your problem.
