mopar lip kit now with crappy pic

Post by Kelevra » Thu Oct 11, 2007 12:18 am

Would a black Lip kit look good on a yellow neon?

Seriously

I asked this same question on dodge forum and everyone seems to not like to respond to it (or any other question I pose)

I'm about to become a fulltime member here because the peeps on dodge forum suck right now. :)Image

one thing you can do is go to the photoshop section and post up some pics. like find a yellow neon with the yellow lip and then have the people photoshop it black.

i believe danman132x has a lip on his yellow neon.

i say do it...then maybe have two black stripes up the middle of the car like a viper....or have that black stripe that goes along the side of the car right under the windows. I think that would look pretty decent.

LOL!!!

And I still think black lip kit on a yellow car might look ok, but I wouldn't do it.

are you trying to go for a bumble bee look?

I voted no.

However, black wheels would look hella nice with black tinted tails with black window tint, black spoiler, black projector headlights.... and blacked out corners... thats all the black I can think of right now.

Im pretty sure they are discontinued and sold out in most colors, all side skirts are gone for sure, there might be some lips left lying around in different colors.

dont think it would look too bad would have to even out the color tho with like carbon firber or something like that. I say that cuz i was thinking about doing the samething with mine. but on your car i would definetly do racing stirp black and side door moldings

I like it like that picture above, but you should do a vertical stripe around the rear of the car, similar to the rumblebee truck.

A guy that works out in the plant @ my work has one of those trucks. Pretty badass.

To me, the black lip kit makes it look more off-road or rally. I would definitely put on some short sporty mudflaps if you did that. Tint the rear tails, windows, sidemakers. Take of the door molding. Lastly, possibly a CF hood. I think it would look pretty sweet.

To me it makes the car look like it's higher off the ground.

I say git the kit and paint it yellow to give it a clean flow with the car.

only way it would make sense to paint the kit black would be if you had stock black door handles. but you dont so i say yellow..

Yeah, he just updated it today. I didn't know there were still some left and now I'm thinking about getting them. But I really should save for something more important. Like a clutch. :quotes:

No, don't do it. It will make the car look higher up than it really is and will not look right at night. It's a nice "idea" but not what you are gonna fall in love with. Either find a yellow one or paint the one you have.

I think you'll find that when there ia actually ground and shadow under the car, the kit will blend in and it will look like there is no kit at all on it.

I still say no to the black kit. whats the point of spending money for the kit and throwing it on the car when Its not going to match and look like a half ass job.. You might as well not get them if you dont want them to be seeing.

I think you can make it work really nicely if you just follow through with everything else..
You would have to get the blk lip then get everything else to accent it...

Blk eyebrows
blk rims
blk door handles
Dark tint
Tinted Tails
Blk housed headlights
blk decal of somesort

All that and I think it would be a bitchin yellow neon :)

you forgot a CF hood and trunk, and "superbee" stripes down the side. i'd rock it then.
