New Pics of my 1gen - with side exit exhaust

Post by Rapley » Fri Oct 12, 2007 12:22 am

Well, this past weekend me and a friend tackled this little project I've been wanting to do. Dunno if I'm gunna keep it like this or not, but I wanted to experiment. Pretty simple thing to do, unfortunately I didn't get pictures of the underside when it was up in the air, but the exhaust is a SRT-4 midsection, cut off after the 90 degree bend that's after the tunnel. Then I have a 45 degree piece of pipe, then a tip. I welded on a new hanger on the 45, and made a bracket held in place by a bolt infront of the trailling arms.

It's pretty loud compaired to what I had, but when I took off the old muffler it had 5 big holes in it, and it was loud too  Anyways, onto the pictures:

And here's a video showing the sound. (makes for a good leaf blower!)

I honestly have been thinking about doing this too :D Anything in the midsection or is it completely stock? I bet it is loud, huh?

I really like the way that car looks man, its very clean.

My NYG is gonna get that, when I go LTH, its getting 2 dynomax spiralflows, and a magnaflow tube muffler.

The mid section is from an SRT-4, so it's got two resonators in it. And yes, it's loud, but i'll get used to it

Thanks for the comments people
