ECU/PCM ?

Post by Kelevra » Fri Oct 12, 2007 1:45 am

Ok. here's my Q

will an 2003+ R/T ECU work with a 2003 SXT ATX? MTX?

how about a 00-02?

I want to eliminate the damn limiters

or is MS the only way to go

the auto trans in the 02+ neons are electronically controlled.

you need an auto computer so that the trans knows when to shift and lock up the converter.

you will have to search around to see if megasquirt has the ability to control an automatic trans.

what limiters are you talking about? the speed limiter? if so, please do everyone a favor and don't go that fast.

as far as I know you can leave the stock PCM/ECU in to control what the megasquirt cant or what you dont want it to control.

Megasqurt can be used to control the spark timing and fuel and have the stock ECU control the trans

and a 00-02 Computer will not work on a 03-05 car and vise versa, unless you changed the whole drivetrain.

Go check on products by SuperChips Tuners. I think they recntly got the rights from Mopar to decode the NGC and make a handheld tuner. All their tuners and raise rev limiter, add fuel, eliminate speed governors, advance or retard timing. Just look online.

I'll tell you how to do it...
Step 1: go to www.google.com
Step 2: type in "SuperChips Tuners" into the search bar.
Step 3: click on the appropriate link.

If you are too lazy to do that maybe you shouldn't do this mod, you may be too lazy to look at your speedo or even pay attention to the road.

If they don't have it then there are no options for flashing.

There was someone here working to understand and crack the code, but he ran out of support for the project.

People with 2003+ neons have been battling this problem since the second half of 2002.
