I installed a MPx 60mm throttle body around 2-3 weeks ago. Everything was great, install was smooth no problems. Today one of my couplers broke for my CAI. I replaced it and now my car revs on its own. I then did some investigating; I found out that the piece the cables connect to hits the transmission fluid dipstick. I then looked closer and pulled it towards the front and it revved fine. My question is how can I get it so that the cable piece does not hit the transmission fluid dipstick and cause my revving problem???
I own a 2000 ATX. This car has been giving me hell since I got it.
It worked fine until today and thats what I saw as the culprit.

Without pics it's hard to say exactly but you may need to fab a brace to hold your tb in position. usually from the top radiator support or/and the battery tray. do a search on cai or/and tb's there are alot of pics on here that show what i'm talking about.

not the best example but you get the idea.

Agreed, but without pics... I think he's saying the bracket on the TB, if the dipstick is hitting between the cable attaching brkt and where it attaches to the throttle cam, then he will have to move the TB. But that's just a guess.dblsg wrote:you can also try re-routing your throttle cable.

what you could do is go to the dodge dealer and buy a clamp that wraps around the top radiator hose and has a extra clip that holds the t/b cable in place.. not really sure but most neons have it. my 2000 does..
