I just installed my kit I got off of ebay yesterday after work, make sure you look around on ebay and don't buy one that is really cheap, get a decently priced one and make sure it isn't made in china. Mine was made in Japan by an actual company. I got 8000K Bi/Xenons and they work well I just have to adjust and aim the headlights, altho I might pick up a set of projector headlights.

:withstupid: What he said. Ebay has some good stuff for good prices. Do your homework and you'll find what you want for a good price and quality.

TY for the replies. My fear is that they will draw too much power from the switch in the steering column and fry the switch.

I had that happen with a pair os Sylvania bright lights.

Will the set on Oznium.com cause that to happen?

HMM I am not sure as I have never installed one in my car. I know that they have worked in NUMEROUS other cars with no issues. I will check up on it and talk to phil about it and see. I will get back to you on this.

They have some good kits on SRTforums with ballasts (So you dont' fry your harnesses) for about $200 shipped. Good deal considering it's plug and play.

Might consider blacking out your headlights to dim some of the glare too...

I'm going to go the HID route eventually, and that's probably what i'll be doing. FYI, there are some $92 HID's but you need teh ballasts...which is about 28 bucks (can get from ebay)

There is a guy on the Teckademics (Mischief) forums that used to sell Hella HID kits straight from Germany. I can't remember what he sold them for but they were complete and awesome and even warranted. Lemme see what they cost. I know it's around $200 shipped. But it takes like 2 weeks or 3 weeks to get here.

HIDs won't fry your harness. The heat content they give off are cooler then halogen bulbs. This includes your stock switch too. Also, they draw less current. They pull 35w versus the 55w that halogens do. The only time you would have a problem (if you were to have one) would be when turning them on. They pull approximately 55w for initial start up then back off down to 35w.

Ya the Oznium ones should not. They come with the ballasts and they are direct plug and play. They look great and work great.

They do draw less power then standard factory bulbs. The ballasts' job is to initially fire and hold power for the bulb, it doesn't not prevent your harness from frying.

You will need a kit with a 9007 style bulb, and you can go single or bixenon.

No matter what you do for the most part, without a projector, you will encounter some glare. Aim your lights slightly lower then normal, and some have found by adding eyelids to your headlights, that the glare is slightly reduced.

Agreed, eyelids seem to cut down the glare that I have noticed from other cars with kits installed. Also you might want to make sure the lenses on your healights are clear, mine are kind of weather cracked and slightly milky and it makes the beam pattern go nuts. Adjusting them is also key seeing as they throw off light in a different pattern than halogen bulbs.

actually i've seen some on Modernperformance.com for both gen's as far as quality im not sure but i dont think that they would sell you a bad set. Also they give you a complete run down on how to install as well.

as mentioned theres a kit on srt forums.. i was looking at it as a "maybe buy this later on" along with some ebay projectors

http://www.srtforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=325570

the only thing i dont like is theres no low/high beam.. and i dont know if that would pass inspection in my state...... on one of the pages in the thread i think i read that a high/low kit was like $400.. if i read it correctly
