Ya lots of the Vac lines for the solenoids are blocked off with caps on my kit, The original srt was stg one so there must be something too that. I feel like we are still so far away...

After we got the shift cables in I sat in the car to engage the gears, They seemed to go in to gear ok with the stock neon Shifter, there was a huge amount of side to side play in the gears though that worries me.

for soem reason mine also had alot of side to side play when i first swapped the car make sure the bolts on the underside of the shifter cables are tight mine were a bit lose at first. mine has trouble shifting into reverse every few days lol but other than that it seems fine

You can use a Mopar Short Throw but as I learned that you cannot use a stock Neon Shifter as rod is slightly angled different and will not engage 2nd, 4th, and Reverse correct.
that's funny...because somehow my car has been running for over 2 years with a stock neon shifter.

I ran the old regular Neon STS that Mopar doesn't make anymore in my swap for well over a year... worked fine. I wouldn't see why a regular neon shifter wouldn't work. :-?

Hey Dave,

The original ETA for my stage 1 PCM was 11/27/07 but they just change it to 12/29/07. Hopefully Flight Systems will not change the ETA again.

Not to hijack the thread, but I still have an unanswered question about the clutch pedal. If you use the t350 from the Neon, you wouldn't need to swap any pedals at all, right? I plan on using my current transmission, but a new clutch and flywheel.

If you use the T350 you can keep your stock pedals.

I'm wodering how long the T350 transmission is going to last with the srt-4 engine.

Just don't try and do burnouts or peal out much... you'll toss your diff pin through the housing which isn't so good. The stock diff in the T350 is known for failure when trying to do burnouts without some diff tabs to keep the pin in place.

Yeah, you can use either the T-350 which is what the Neon has or the T-850, which is what the SRT-4 has. You can actually use other transmissions, but it may take some custom fabrication. Case in point: JRM's automatic transmission.
