But you have to take off alot of stuff to get to that point. I.e. Wheel/tire, fender liner, timing cover, loosen up the tensioners and alternator and remove the belts, harmonic...etc.

Mine isn't really leaking, it just has residue on the right side of the pan around the gasket area on the right side.

That does suck about your car though, I mean why would an oil pump go out so sone like that...

Have not got much for the car. I did pick up a silver Perrin radiator shroud for half off on their website. Waiting til Spring until that goes on.

I swapped 3rd brake lights with a local E-blue owner. I have the clear MPX one. Looks pretty good on silver and fits my theme well.

I had to get a red bulb for it since well, its clear.
Went over to Autozone and they didn't have the 921 bulb in red, but they had a 922 bulb in red. Exact same design. Came in a pack of 2 for $3. Put it in my car, flipped down the back seat, yay it works. Didn't think much of it until I got curious a couple weeks later. Had a friend hit the brake light during the night and sure as hell it lit up PINK!!!

So I went up on ebay and found a LED replacement bulb. It has 5 LED's on it and plugs right in. Got that a couple days ago. Had my dad press down the brake pedal and its a nice bright red!

I will be piecing together parts for my timing belt/tensioner/waterpump install and be picking up a wideband next month. Might be looking into brakes too, since I ams till on my OEM pads and rotors at just a hair under 70k as of right now.

Sounds a bit like where I'm at right now, only I NEED to do that stuff and have 40k more miles than you do. Maintenance is fun....oh yes it is. I thought you picked up a UEGO? Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

Goal:
Atleast 315whp.

Looking at a FBM ported stocker/Real Tune ported and ceramic coated exhaust mani with 3'' 02 and an external WGA mod so I can run an External WGA like a tial or turbonetics. He said he made 36Xwhp/38Xtq. Less than 3k on the parts all for $700. Dude has perfect feedback. Waiting on pictures.

If that fails I am looking at the E1 ported stockers with Stage 2 injectors, FM wastegate, and DiabloTuner to get my goal.

You would be surprised... There was a guy that made 267/315 on the E1 with Stage 2 kit, FM WGA, 3'' TBE with 3'' 02 housing. He said his boost gauge was broken and he was running 10.5 AFR's

I don't want anything over 350 because thats when stuff starts to break and you need and bunch of other things.

I'm guessing he wasn't running next to nothing for boost, we got a guy here running an E1 with good amount of bolt ons and I think he's over 300 for sure. They say the E1 is good up to 370hp with a good tune

I'd wait on the Diablo craze to cool down...things are way too hectic with tuning and shit

Hmm...I have a handful of friends break into the 300whp territory with fewer mods. I think the least modded one was stg 1 ECU, s-afc, wastegate helper spring, CAI, full 3" exhaust, and a good tune at PRE!

I bought it too. I was kidna dissapointed with how much it covers..I wanted the one that covers the headlight mounting brackets and stuff

I was also going to tell you, but if you at all get on the car, I wouldn't wait to install that scan gauge so you can start monitoring knock. Even with a wastegate and a few mods my friend kinda re-tuned his car because he was knocking...so yeah be careful. No point in it sitting there to be installed if you got it

300whp should be easy with that kind of setup. What is your official mods list? Besides what you plan to get with the kit? All hardpiping, a throttle body, full 3" exhaust and you should have NO issues at all reaching your goal.

Oh and the only shroud that covers everything is the Carbon By Design one.

Performance wise:
Stage 1
Injen intake
CTI chargepipe
3'' 02 housing
3'' MPX TBE single outlet
Stock boost levels
Stock WGA
I made 264/280

A bigger throttle body will net little to no gains. Seen a ton of results. I would need a ported intake manifold, bigger turbo, and ported/better exhaust manifold to see good numbers from a throttle body. Same with the bigger intercooler piping. A local had his car dynod with AGP WGA, upped boost levels, MPX throttle body, MPX BFMIC, Greddy Type S BOV, Stage 1, Injen intake, same exhaust system as me and only dynod 273whp. I know he had some boost leaks too, but still. Raising the boost doesn't do nothing unless you do it right and get it tuned.

Well a local is selling his AGP 50 trim kit. Injectors turbo and everything. Turbo need a rebuild. So I might snag a new turbo and get everything else. I am just not sure yet you guys. This will be one of my last major purchases. (how many times have I said that

)

SOOO many different options to go.

Not sure how much I want to spend either. But I want to do it right the first time and not be like all these yahoo's that switch turbo setups ALL the time.

Why not go for the economical 300 whp stock turbo set up that would be in the How To section?
Save many pennies, with some solid results..

Thats why I am really considering a ported stocker and a ported/ceramic coated exhaust manifold. There are a couple locals with big turbos and they seem to only have headaches. I even found out the internals of a AGP 50 trim turbo need to be rebuilt every 2 years or so.

I've been hearing that ported stockers are a total waste of money, roughly 5hp or so at best.

The best money lies in an external wastegate manifold, there are actually some on ebay for around $200 I think. I might do that. Combined with some thermal coating and porting...could be very nice.

I saw you interested int hat AGP kit for $1250. Thats one heck of a deal. But the supporting mods are pretty $$$

I heard bad things about the PTP ported stockers because they were putting two big of wheels in there. Forward Motion knows whats up.

As for only gaining 5hp I would like to see that, that would really suck.

The key with the ported stockers WITH ported exhaust manifolds is to be able to raise the boost and put bigger injectors int here. See that first link I posted? 1fast4 is a local and he has the e1 setup. He made like 36X/48X

all bout getting more fuel in there, raising the boost, and getting it tuned.

Yes its very sad, those are the asshats that give NSRT-4's a bad name. They do not diserve the car at all.

A guy was willing to sell his S3 w/ toys setup with tial wheel to me without the S3 fuel pump for $2600 OBO.. He made 403hp with no tune. Forgot to ask how many miles he has on it...

I love my stg 3r srt, but the spool time with stock turbo was so much fun. Honestly, if your looking for a fun time over highway race/track race, I would stick with stock turbo. i think you should stick with stock turbo because it is fun and good on every level. My stock turbo srt swap was so much more fun within the city and still fun on the high way as appose to s3r which needs a shit load of suspension upgrades to handle to par in the turns and still be safe in the city.. How ever, s3r still has a good spool time and good power, vs any agp srt upgrade. I'm a mopar guy, because personally I feel its either mopar or stock, because even mopar s3r was warranty-able, so obviously mopar nows best.

There have been plenty of people to make 340+WHP off a ported stocker or an E1 stocker. And yes upgrading to a turbo other than a stock turbo...is very expensive.

And to rushtom2: Stage3 spools extremely quick for being a larger turbo. Same with the AGP Delta 44. Its not so large that you need to be at 4500rpms before it does anything. I don't have mine, yet, but from what I've read about others its just as much fun as the stock turbo if not more so.

I was wrong to put so much emphasis in my previous post, to the point where it may give off the impression I enjoy s3.. Stage 3 is fast, and fun, and I truly love it, but there was still a significant difference over the stock turbo in spool times.. It has been a while since i have driven the srt, so I'm just all disorientated, haha. I love srt!
I'm sure whichever route you go, you will be very happy with the results.
