Antenna Question

Post by neonsxt0486 » Sat Jun 11, 2005 9:23 pm

When I installed my pioneer radio i got to rough taking out the old one. I pulled on the antenna to get it out of the stock radio. I didnt realize that I had pulled the lead out of it and now if i try to shove it all back together i get no radio reception. How can I fix this? Im getting tired of listening to the same cd's over and over. Thanks

I'm thinking internal window mount aftermarket antenna. The cord to the antenna may have grounded out causing the Q to drop to insane levels. Over time, it will damage the receiver circuitry unless it's replaced. So your choices are to buy an aftermarket antenna or purchase the entire wiring harness to the fender and rebuild what is now broken.

If I didn't answer your question, can you provide pictures?
