completely unnecessary, not to mention against proper procedure in most US jurisdictions. sure, he wasn't complying, but a choke slam is NOT the first resort in that situation. a simple arm restraint and cuffs would more than likely have sufficed. and pigs wonder why people hate them... hope that guy gets shot in the hand. and a police brutality law-suit would probably net that guy a few grand just to keep it from going to trial.

This is an old vid but still a good one to watch every now and then. As with the choke hold. Vegas is not a town that they take incompliance lightly. They have tourists to protect and that guy could have had anything on board. They must assume everyone is a risk and proceed about the situation accordingly.

They would have considered him violent because it was reported that he was fighting with someone, so for all they knew he could have had a weapon on him, and honestly if your stuped enough to not listen to an ARMED police officer...you deserve something like that

In germany is that kind of police action (Attack on the neck) forbidden. In germany in this situation we hit/grap the nose to bring them down.
Really painfull - but no threat to kill him.
