Did you buy a part and think it was awesome, or did you think it was a piece of crap? Let everyone know here so we know not to buy the same product.

Maddog 80% redux - 1in drop (80-2)

Post by ZeroChad » Sun Nov 04, 2007 5:07 pm

This STS is amazing; well worth the money. The installation took about 1.5hr. The hardest part was removing the cable clips and taking out the boogers. I found WD-40 and channel locks were the best way to do this.

The shifter reduced the throw amazingly. I was leary that it would be too short, but it is awesome. I used the boogers with johnny mopar cradle bushings. what a great combo. Overall the quality of this unit is superior. The welds were great.

This is a picture of what the height reduction looks like in perspective of my head unit. It is a lot more comfortable at this height.

I was worried about it as well. My neon is my DD too. Once you get use to it, it is practically heaven! I'm glad I went with the 80% over a lower one.

i have the same thing. the great thing about the 1in drop is that your knuckles dont accidentally hit the radio buttons and change stations on those 2-3rd gear shifts
