You realize how relatively cheap and easy a full SRT swap is right? I mean it's a lot of work, not quite easy, but you're not having to figure much out or fabricate, just a lot of nuts and bolts parts swapping.

I know a guy who got a decent looking salvage title driver SRT for around under $7k, so a complete totaled car with a bad shell can't cost much more than your average retail-box turbo kit.

(wait, does anyone even sell a complete 2gn turbo kit anymore?)

I do, with MS.
ASP - First NGC SOHC in the 13s and the 12s. First SOHC neon over 500whp. First NGC Neon on MS.

what i like about it is how it measures vacuum in psi instead of inches of mercury.

I'm thinking of getting another eclipse or talon (1st gen) because i miss the power. I'm going to put the lip kit, rims, and suspension on my neon first then use it as a dd (what it is now anyway) and have an eclipse/talon as a project car. I really want an awd car anyways as my old eclipse was fwd.

I loved my old '96 GSX Track Car..

But the DSM Curse was a bitch and a Half. Having to rebuild the car after every couple events.. EH.

I'll never own another DSM.

DSMs are great when they run or if you have a lot of friends who sell you thier cars as use them as a parts car. And nothing on them is cheap. That's what sucks. But, they are good looking and run great when they run right. The only DSM I would want anymore is a Galant VR-4.

EDIT: I had an all black 1992 Talon for 10 months. It was in the shop for at least 2 of those months. Transmission, flex plate, brakes, alternator, suspension...etc.

...when they run.

I've owned two, a turbo Laser FWD, and an Eclipse GSX (AWD).

Both 1G's. 1G ftw in DSM world.

OEM boost "gauge" FTL! It doesn't even read actual pressure, it estimates it via computer. Ghey.

I would probably not own another DSM. bucket of bolts at best. Sure, it runs hard, but it also shakes itself apart in the process.

I've been hesitant of ever owning a Mitsubishi product from that era after changing a headlight in a friend's 2 yr old Mirage in the mid 90s. The car was two years old and both of the top two headlight assembly bolts snapped off when I tried to remove them. Not even close to acceptable.
