Hudson_Neon's head project... IS RESURECTED!

well. drove 30min. and picked up the new head for $20. not a bad deal if you ask me. has EVERYTHING, including the cam gear. i pulled the spark plug tubes first thing when i got home.

let the project begin.... again

there's a few things that i learned on the first one. i'm not gonna mess with the valve guides. it only has like 90,000miles on it. and i'm gonna take a sawzall to the old one and learn the water passages by heart.

well here's the first pics...

i cleaned up the castings under the valves and ported out the intake on one of the cylinders. i wanna cut apart the old head before i port the exhaust so i can figure something out

ok, well i did some more cleaning. i also opened up the exhaust port to 1-1/16". i need to pick up some more sanding drums and a polishing kit too.

well i didn't quite like the look of the intake port. so i changed it slightly and rough cut another intake and exhaust...

well i look at it this way... shit happens. it'll be a little while before i can work on the new one again. i got a lot goin on at work. we're a guy short... again.
