I've seen a few people here get tires from TireRack.com. They seem pretty happy about the deal they got so that might be a good place to start.

Check out pepboys or sears on black friday. Grab some zx-512's if there are any left, or the new zx-912's. that is if you are wanting an allseason.

vulcantire.com

tirerack.com

those are some of the better ones. most ppl use tirerack tho. Tirerack even offers shaving and heat cycling services for their high perfromance tires.

if you are looking for an all-season in that size, then i would suggest the Yokohama AVID TRZ. I love this tire. We get a bit of snow here, certainly not a lot, but when we do I don't worry.

Its relatively inexpensive too. IIRC ~$60/tire from tirerack.

http://www.vulcantire.com/cgi-bin/tires ... 12hp_t.htm

id try these $52 a tire and i know for sure the 512s were an amazing tire. these are supposed to be better replacements of the 512s.

tho each person has prefferences on brand names. just whatever u do don't buy and get tires mounted from sears. They charge like $27 a tire to mount them.

I thought the 512's would be damn near useless in the snow?

x2

I haven't tested the snow part, but wet traction is great.

They've got a couple for that size. The Toyo Spectras were not a bad all season tire ($46). I use to ride on them.
