well you could get a different one

you could remove it

you could remove it and get a hidden internal antenna (the ones ive seen were $$$$$ and not worth it IMO)

you could remove it but put the antenna somewhere in the car .. not sure how well it would work.. and youd have to extend the antenna connection wire to the radio somehow...

cant think of any other options

I cut mine down so it was level with the roof line, then cut a thread on the end and threaded a very small ball onto it. Looks stock, just better. No reception issues.

If you would like to see pics, its very similar to the ebay one, check my project log (link in sig) on page 3 or so.

I use one that I purchased off of eBay. (AntennaX) its about 8" or so...I know that "freerider" has one as well. I like it yet, the reception in my area sucks!

It should be a simple, unscrew the old one and screw in the new one.

if you do decide to remove it.... you can go to the dealership and order one of the acr antenna delete plugs. it is just a black rubber plug. in my opinion the one from the 1gn was a better fit than the one for the 2gn on my 05 sxt (i ordered both)

LOL, that's what I did. Just measure and cut it in half. Grind the end a bit so the stock ball will fit back on and BINGO, you'd got a stubby antenna.
?You know what the difference between me and you really is? You look out there and see a horde of evil, brain eating zombies. I look out there and see a target rich environment.?

Diablo has a few left. BRR was selling some ACR antenna deletes but I believe he ran out.

I'm getting mine soon. But I'm going with Sirius so I won't need an antenna at all.

Are you directly connecting to the radio?

If you were going to buy it soon, wait until the merger. There will be new radios and new options available. Current radios will be stuck their current provider, new radios will be open to both.
