What bumper is this?

Post by Halfbreed » Mon Nov 19, 2007 10:50 pm

Hey everyone I finally found the bumper that I want, it's very similar to the SRT but for my model. I need to know the maker and where I can purchase it. Also does anyone know how much work it is to put a 2002-2003 front bumper onto a 2000 neon?

That was the concept SRT bumper I believe. I don't believe it ever made production, even in the aftermarket.

Wow that looks nice though. Horse shoe type wheels as well.

Don't see how it could be since thats the concept that Mopar had before the SRT came out. It was a supercharged 2.0L that put down 208hp.

I remember seeing that in Dodge magazine when I had my '02 SXT and thinking "Yuck, it looks like a Neon Batmobile." And now look at what I'm driving... Oh, here's a pic of a Solar Yellow Concept SRT.

I actually like that bumper better... but then I also like the 2000-02 headlight/signal clusters better.

Yeah, they are more like the 1GN ones which defined the whole Neon "look" if you ask me. DCX really goofed when they tried to make the Neon look more "Dodge-like" after Plymouth was dropped. The front clip that started in '03 was one of the main reasons why I was so ticked when my '02 was totalled- I ended up having the "Caravan" styling when I had my '04.

You remind me of a picture I made that I intended to use for that Neon motorcade thing I did (too bad the turnout sucked):

I think that basically illustrates your point :)

Maybe that's why Daimler stuck us with the Caliber- they couldn't top two winning designs in a row.
