Is that illegal to have an HID kit on my car....2000 neon.
Actually bmw and porshce, etc are commings with those kind of light. Why the polie is arresting me but not the Bmw and porsche?
If I took a sheet of paper, and I turn on my ligh, The sheet is still white so is it still legal
HID...Illegal???

I was under the impression that as long as it was white on a piece of paper, then you were good.
That is interesting.

It's not the color they are popping you for, it is the fact that HID's spread light differently than halogens. It is like you are driving around with your brights on all the time, except now your brights are 3X brighter than they were before.
If you must know why they spread light differently, I'll explain it to you, but it's early right now, and I don't feel like typing anymore on this small ass phone.

H4's and HID's are only legal on cars that came factory-equipped with them (actually H4's never did so those aren't ever legal).
But as long as they aren't some rediculous blue and aimed properly so you aren't blinding the po-po as you drive down the street, they will leave you alone.
Unless you're a ricey looking showcar. Then it's just another thing they can hassle you about.
