 Got it half way done. I still can't get to the driving light wiring. Got the wire spliced, but I'm still having issues gaining access to the driving light wiring. Does anyone know of the location of the wires being run from the driving lights to the interior? Maybe I can grab the power somewhere in between where they hook to the bulbs and where they go inside. Thanks.

I really don't want to yank my front bumper cover.

wtf? how hard are you making this! all you gotta do is take the airdam out, and reach up adn tap into the wiring right off the fog light.... why are you going into the interior?

I'm trying to NOT make it hard. Removing the air dam? Are you referring to the front bumper cover? I was trying NOT to remove pieces of the car. From reading the other posts, nobody removed body parts. And I'm not going to the interior - I just noticed that the FUSE is INSIDE the car which means that the wiring that goes to the driving lights, at some point, go to the interior of the car. I was just wondering if anyone knew where the driving light wires ran on their way into the cabin. Maybe I could tap an easier location rather than ripping parts out from underneath the car. I know this should only be a 15 minute mod, but it's not working that way. Shit's a little hard to get to. Thanks.

Got it all done! Yay! I removed a few a screws and pulled some plastic and tapped the wires that run across the front of the car from the driver's side to the passenger side lights. Here are some pics before I put everything back together. (I hate my f*cking camera.) Now I definitely have to get some nice shots with the lake in the background after I get 'er waxed up.

And yes, the car is jacked up on the driver's side. Damn lowering springs wouldn't let me under the car. :P

I personally blame the internet for my modding addiction. Before I found the .org and MPx I had no interest in modding my car.

raising this from the dead...

would this mod work to power fogs if your car was not wired for fogs in the first place originally?

meaning if i throw on some aftermarket fogs can i ground them to the chassis somewhere and get my power for them doing this mod? id actually want to do it via the headlights so they were only on with headlights and not the markers but its essentially the same thing

or for the sake of wiring safety should i use a relay and get power from the battery?

id want to be using the brightest (whitest) halogen bulbs i cant get for them, dont know if that makes a difference as far as the power draw

Damn, if you are going to bump an old thread, at least do it for a question, or useful info.
