Yeah, you could switch back. However, I don't believe a STS will directly cause the warranty to be voided.
Just because you have the shifter doesn't mean anything. The shift selectors still more the same amount, just the amount of throw is reduced.
But I understand your concern. Keep the stocker and put the stocker back in just in case.

I had a chopped shifter with Booger bushings in my car when my transmission ate itself. I got a free transmission and clutch with no hassle over the shifter. It's a tough call though because I would guess they could give you some crap about it.

Technically you can't exert as much pressure on the shift mechanism because you have less leverage. So it should be less stressful on the trans. (If everything is adjusted correctly and there isn't too much you can screw up there, at least as far as anymore damage that could be done with the factory unit.) Once you get the feel for it I would think it would make life easier as far as normal driving goes. Agressive driving is an other story. But who drives their car like that?

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
