Will the RT muffler fit an 05 SXT without changing the rear bumper cover?

Yeah, you may just have to bend the hangers down a little to clear the bumper or make cutouts in the bumper if you don't want to bend the hangers down.

Yeah, I really dont want to cut the bumper any. I don't want a loud exhaust and the RT seemed the right choice. How much will I have to bend the hangers to make it work?

Does anybody have a shot of how it looks on an SXT? I'm going to be running G Stock class in SCCA and don't want a loud muffler for it as it is also my daily.

There is always the 1st gen DOHC muffler, if you don't have your heart set on the dual (on each side) look. The DOHC is a dual exit, just on the passenger side, like the normal muffler, but with two outlets. From what I understand it is louder than the SE/SXT but quieter than the R/T ? Someone correct me if I'm wrong! But it flows as well as the R/T.

From what I've read on here basically yes, the hangers may need tweeked, but thats it. I think if you do a search for 1GN DOHC muffler you'll find some info. It is also the cheapest from the dealer.

List $143.00 if you go to some of the online dealers you can get it for around $100. The decript says it fits 95-05.

You will probably be fine with the hangers as is. I had to bend my hangers up for both my 03 R/T and 05 SRT Design. There was too much clearance between the cutout openings and the muffler tips.

Do a search there are several members here running R/T exhaust on SXT's.
