Over 500,000 without power yesterday due to downed power lines!!! We were lucky so far, but with a cold front coming, the wind my cause even more outages due to cracking trees.

Yeah your car needs a shave lol...
So was the ice solid across the hood and doors? Could you even get in?
Would it even start like that??? I know there's antifreeze but still...?
Damn that's craziness. I can't even imagine that here in southern California.
very cool pics btw (har har pun intended) I like how you took some of the shots at angles.
Drive it like you stole it, and work on it like you married it.

Half an inch thick on doors, roof and hood! The ice was close to an inch thick in the cowl, wiper area! I did break the car out yesterday with the rubber handle of a hammer and drove it to work today!

Geez you had to use a rubber mallet? Wow half an inch... I can't even imagine walking outside and discovering my car was encased in solid ice.

Bah... I've got a layer on my car too. I'll just let it warm up for 2 hours, and whatever is left won't get in the way of my vision, so whatever.
