I don't think it was Disney, I think it's Jim Henson Studios who own the Muppets, and they're much more forgiving. Did you ever see the Robot Chicken spoof of VH-1's "Where are they now?" with the Muppets?

Disney bought Henson Studios (or whatever it was called) several years back. And no, I didn't see the Robot Chicken spoof.
