Another update!!!!

Bought fender flares and all black side molding from the local pick-n-pull. Soon after christmas if they still have it, ill be buying the parts that would convert my car to turbo. What makes the conversion even easier, is that my block is already tapped for all the oil and water lines.

Heres what I bought, after I washed it at work.

Heres the car before the molding with flat black painted Stock rims. [konigs are in the process of being painted silver w/ metal flakes and a purple anondize lip.]

Here is the car after with only the all black molding, flares are not yet installed.

Comparision of flare, 90 on top 91 on the bottom.

Rear flare are not yet installed, since I need to jack up the car to screw it in. And its been raining.

Next of the list to buy in to particular order.
Tint all windows, minus windshield.
Piece together turbo kit.
Intrax lowering springs.
extended stud conversion
convert front end to 91-92 spec & add either 91-92 sides or 94+ Aero sides.
Wrap hood and gas cap in CF.
Paint chrome around the windows & remove chrome strip from door handles.

With this list it seems like it would never be "done".

but a little update that im thinking about. and yes, i like to be different. jsut have to wait for it stop raining here so i can start painting if i dont like this color combo next will be gold with a polished lip.

[btw, this is my spare rim, i didnt tape of anything i was jsut using it to see how it would turn out, the final will be way better]

on the rim the layers fo as follows. Duplicolor ground coat[whole rim], duplicolor metal specks[whole rim] , and duplicolor metalcast purple[lip only]. This has no clear on it.

i hate saabs... and think they are the ugliest car on the road

but for yours actually isnt to bad... it doesnt have muchb of the saab shape.. and i like it.. it reminds me of a old VW or Audi

looks really clean but you do need tint

wait purple lip? ehhh your going to prove it looks good, but you did that with the car so who knows it might

still wouldnt do it to my car

IMO. Saabs look very similar to Audis.

the saab shape your probably thinking of is a 900....

but i didnt really like my car, but it grew on my, just how my neons looks grew on me.

but heres a pic for comparision, i was to lazy to get a muddy/wet silver konig from the backyard.

eeeehhhhh.... i'm not liking the purple lip... unless maybe you can tie it into something but then again I dont know if that would look that much better... not trying to hate, i actually like the fact that you tried something different... are you paint thing car or doing anything to tie in the wheels?

I know my uncle had one, and it was so ugly i felt bad for the car... it just made me cringe... looks like they were inspired by a duck/baseball hat... most saab are hidious

Not feeling the purple.. if you must do a color... try a dark dark blue?

the only other thing that will be purple like that color, is my valvecover. my first plan was to paint the mesh/spokes black, but i want to try silver first.

no prob...i like to hear peoples opinion, aslong as your not flaming me. Its just that with saabs everyone does the same thing to them,

from your discription your uncle might have had this one...

Another update...

Got some H&R sport springs on craigslist for $100. So hopefully have those installed before school starts.

UPDATE!!!

Got the springs installed...the rear took only 1hr no need for spring compressors FTW, but the fronts took about 4hrs. since the top bolt was stripped so I had to find a way to uninstall & install the spring/strut with the top hat still on the car.

looks great, have you looked into painting the window trim or possibly sourcing black trim?

My brother has a 93 saab 9000t that i have been trying to have him give to me since it basically has been sitting for the last 3 years.. and your inspiring me to really get on him about it.

I plan to either paint mine for find some from a 91...

But get it....they actually just got a free program out that you can tune your own car. there a couple people on saablink.net who have 400hp + cars on stock internals.

I've been casually checking this log every once in a while and I must say, it's starting to look really good!

The window trim definitely needs to be done next, then a light tint.

Update......
going over some damn railroad tracks i ran over a a bolt that was the size of my thumb, but i guess its my car telling me it needs new tires, since they were getting bald. so im going to by 2 new tires and use the old almost bald tire and put it on my spare.
so right now rolling on my stocks that are painted black.

but a couple weeks before on craigslist i scored some steelies with good snow tires on them. i have no need for them but cant beat free.

yeah...hopefully i can find some black trim molding. the car i got my fender flares from had them, but i had no idea on how to take them off.

but so far the cheap mods i'm going to do is..
black window trim
remove chrome strip from handles
