anyone have a link for an aftermarket single din radio install kit for an 05 sxt with the pocket underneath?

our radio is a double din, aftermarket are single. there are install kits that, instead of mounting the radio in the center of the double din area, move the radio to the top and have a pocket area underneath, like this:

Our cars do only have a 1.5 DIN....

either way, they make adapters. and i have the Scosch one from wal mart... works fine. but you said that you want the one that has a pocket... i remember seeing one once. i think it was supertrick that has one... might have seen it when we did our shoot

I had one too, I got mine from a local audio store.

However, since our OEM radios are 1.5 din, you are not going to get that big of a pocket. The pocket on mine was only big enough for one cd case, and it you stored anything in there you probably couldn't get it back out if it went to the back.

you want the Metra one from Circuit City.

All Chrysler products are 1.5 DIN - Pioneer makes a DCx specific radio, and I thikn JVC as well which is a CD/Tape combo... anyways, have fun.

thanks for the input all. looking at it now i see that it is a 1.5. getting a new garmin 360 for xmas and i had wanted to make a custom install having it tilt and slide into the pocket but that idea is out the window. last chance is to hope that it is not wider than the pocket at the rear defrost area.

Yeah, I think Metra is the one I have...has a little slot beneath the radio to put stuff in. Never used it, but it looks better than a big spot of nothing!
