Heard back from the insurance company. They cut me a check for $480. With my $500 decuctable, they're estimating the damage under $1k.

I laughed and am getting the car sent to a body shop to get checked out. There's no WAY it's under $1k worth of damage.

there is WAY more than $1000 worth of damage, i would like to see them try and replace my wheel, i mean that wheel without having to replace all 4, just because they prob dont even sell that rim anymore.

Yeah, have a REAL body shop look at it and make their own estimates...then call up the insurance and argue...that is complete bullshit! I'd be furious if I were in your shoes! Bastard insurance companies...they are in business to help you...not screw you in the bum!

I doubt they will buy new rims for him unless he has aftermarket parts covered under his plan. I know I do not have any aftermarket parts covered so they will not pay for them. I would be they would just sorta brush it off. That sucks dude. But ya I would be furious too. 1k that is bullshit. I would get everything I can out of them and look at switching companies.

I have a set of snowflakes waiting to go on the car anyways. I really don't give a damn if they want to replace my rims or not. They better add at least SOME cost to that damage though.

I'm just waiting patiently for the check to show up at my house, then I'll be calling the local body shop and getting it towed out.....

any day now......

Keeping the projectors. I still have my stock headlights.

What little is left on this car will go to the SRT when I buy it.

Only $1000? There's just no way that's under $1000 if it's affecting your underbody. When you get an srt-4 make sure it's a red one cause it's always the fastest color lol. :D

Nah, Solar yellows are the fastest. Thats why people are always wrecking them and you can mind so many yellow parts.

Note: Doesn't apply in this case. No offense Opi, I know your a good driver.

most insurance companies will just cut you a check for the very obvious damages and then wait for the body shop to call them and tell them there's more damages...

basically, the only way to find out exactly what's damaged, is to rip into it...........which NO claims adjuster is going to do....they let the mechanics figure that part out for them.

i've had a few accidents over the years, always goes like opi's situation. they give you a check for what they see right off the bat, and then wait for the garage to contact them about further damages found.

dont worry josh, that $1k will soon go way up, lol

This man is speaking the truth. Just wait. Insurance adjusters don't know jack when it comes to structural and suspension components. They know body damnage and visual damage the best. You will get your money don't worry.
