I got the same tail lights you got. I bought them off of tink. Now that I think about it I don't remember if they had bulbs or If I used my stockers. IDK. But I have a custom 3rd brake light made with leds. Bright as hell. Which I plan on useing much brighter leds..why because I can. So if you are worreid about people seeing you just get a bright ass third brake light!

i am getting ready to do a retrofit from a third brake light at the junk yard but i would also like people to know if i am turning so i bought this one, it uses the same led as some of the fords i looked at at my work so im sure they will be bright enough.

I had ones similar to those in my tailights, something like 15 super bright white leds in each bulb, but seeing as they don't draw enough power they act like you have blown bulbs, plus they aren't very bright.

Ok. Since you are doing your own thing in the third brake light. Then go allt eh way. Use superflux leds. Will be ur best bet. Can be found here
http://www.oznium.com/four-chip-led
Or the prewired version is here

This is what I plan on using in my 3rd and brake lights when ever I get around to doing them. They are bright as HELL!!!
