Sorry, I'm just a little excited b/c I haven't ordered anything in awhile :D I can't wait to install it tomorrow... hopefully. Just gotta pickup a new oil pan gasket and some RTV silicon

Oh yes it is a work of art, the welds look fantastic :shock: but I can't see them anymore :wink: it's installed 8)

I must say, I love the pan, well worth the $$$

only downside is that I now take 7quarts of oil and probably more b/c with 7quarts i'm only to the half way mark on the dipstick :lol:

Not to totally bring this back from the dead, but what do you use for a gasket and what's this RTV stuff? I've got a crank scraper I want to install.

Jesus, old thread! lol

You can reuse your stock gasket as it's made with rubber and can be reused as long as you don't damage it in pulling it off. I myself bought another gasket to play safe and the RTV is used to seal where I wanna say the bed plate meets the oil pump assembly. There is a little joint there where oil can seap out if RTV isn't used. It's like a liquid gasket that hardens into a rubber of sorts.
