6x9 ground color?

Post by Flying_NEB » Thu Jan 10, 2008 1:00 pm

I'm putting in some infinity reference speakers in my 2000. The connector on the speaker has a fat spade and thin spade - which is pos, which is neg? Same question for the stock wiring. The rear passenger side is blue with an orange stripe and blue with a white stripe; the rear driver is brown with at yellow stripe and brown with a blue stripe- which is pos, which is neg? Thanks.

driver side rear brown and yellow stripe is positive

passenger rear blue and white stripe is positive

the fronts the positives are solid should be a dark green on one side and a violet on the other, the negs have stripes..

pulled this info from the online FSM for a 2000 neon

Wide spade on speaker is POS. Thin spade is NEG. I just hooked up a pair of Infinity Kappa 6X9's in my '04. They sound OK but they really need an amp.
