caliper/wheel clearance.

My friend who owns an Srt-4 is going to have a big brake convertion, so he gave me his stock srt-4 brake assembly.

I have the stock 14 steelies, so they fronts wont fit, but i dont want huge 17 wheels, ive heard there are a couple of 15" who have good clearance that will allow srt-4 to fit.

So what are the smallest diameter wheels that will let the Srt-4 brake assembly fit?

It's all dependent of the offset of the wheels.......

I'm currently trying to find out the same info, except I need to know the smallest offset that will fit.......

what about the stock steelies, wouldnt spacers help?

I don't think you would be able to find spacers that big, and if you did.....your wheel studs would be like 8" long........that probably wouldn't be very safe......

So let me know as soon as u know what is the smallest wheel i can use with the SRt-4 calipers (not srt-4 disk diamter).

i thought you could run the 14".....didn't this topic come up before. someone had converter to the srt brakes and in the winter they ray their 14" steelies.

I don't think there is any since the calipars bolt up completely different from the regular Neon. Our knuckles have two arms that come out that the calipars rest on and also get bolted onto the rear of the knuckle. The SRT however just has a bracket which they bolt onto and that is bolted to the knuckle with no

so can i use an Srt-4 knuckle? will it fit my neon?, the spindle number and direction rods fit?

Yeah they'll fit but there is some modification that needs to be done inorder to make them fit. Get ahold of Vitor on here, he'd be able to tell you exactly what needs to be done to them.
