Local street racing gone wrong

Post by Nutmeg » Wed Jan 23, 2008 11:34 am

I heard this on the news yesterday from the other room, and I had to go watch when I heard "dodge neon". Really stupid to race through construction zones, well anywhere at that speed for that matter.

i hate to be that guy that doesn't care... but if your going to race you have to be ready to face anything that may happen.

dang thats hard, be in critical condition and lose your car, maybe he wasnt street racing like it says and just happened to hit it but either way something wrong happened and he ended up in the back of that truck.

"My son never sped like that"

BWAHAHAHAHA. Sure, so nieve.

Honestly, I'm certainly glad it was a driver of the cars racing and not an innocent bystander.

Shitty thing about this is the driver wasn't the owner of the SRT.

$80,000 BMW about to go up for auction...look for it!

Pretty cool trick flying out the back window when you started out in the front seat. Haven't seen that one yet! Good job guys.

a Dodge Neon and a BMW 645 C-I were going more than 120 miles per hour into a lane closure area when the Neon hit the truck.

The driver of the Neon, a 22-year-old, is in critical condition. Troopers say he was left hanging outside the back passenger window.
How is this guy even alive?

That's why it sucks working on the side of the road. This summer I almost got killed like 10 times working in safe zones. People don't care about maintenance workers. Good thing that truck had an intinuator. That took a lot of the force out of the impact.

dumbasses. And why does a 19 year old have a 6 series bummer?

What I like most about the article is they mention the bmw's c-I designation, but not the srt-4.

I got to thinking about this at work today- if Opi had owned that car, it would still be revving. Not to come across as being insensitive but I am getting pretty depressed at the number of SRTs that are being wrecked.

with the number of morons driving srt-4's it makes me want to garage mine and hold onto it for 20 years. There'll be so few left, it'll be a collectors item. lol.

every generation has it "death cars" 80's and 90's had the camaro/trans am in and in the 00's we have the SRT4, EVO, WRX. The kid should be nominated for a Darwin. I will say it again STREET RACERS ARE FUCKING STUPID, no ifs, ands, or buts.
