Request: neons with tinted windows
Request: neons with tinted windows
I won a drawing so i have $50 off if i go get a tint job next week. So it will only cost me $150 bucks. Is that a good deal?
Id like to see pics of neons with tints.
I was thinking 35% all around (except front windshield ofcourse) cuz thats the legal limit.
id do the tints myself but i am bad at placing decals on my car so i am pretty sure id screw up the tints.

Oh yeah and make sure you investigate the shop first. I asked people down here in SC eariler in the year which is a good shop to go to and I couldn't find a single one. It seemed like every car I looked at here had a big gap at the tops of the windows instead of a small 1/8" gap. Never got a good response so I made a trip back up to Cincinnati to have a shop do it up there that I trusted. Paid a little more but at least it's done well and looks better than anything I've seen down here. Plus I got to see some friends while I was at it...
Bad part was driving home in the middle of summer, no AC (white car doesn't have AC) and I couldn't open my sunroof either. Was almost 100F out and I've got every window closed with just the fan on blowing hot air on me lol. That was fun lol

5% All around and I did them myself with my friend.
They came out real good, no gaps, no bubbleing and used a brow on the back window. Tint wouldnt hold good to defroster.

Stock ---> Mine

And The scarry Part...

Dang you guys all got good deals on tint! I paid $260 for 35% almost 3 years ago and their price went up 1 week after it was done.
Rage - Its totally worth it, just find a quality shop. My car is cooler in summer and its so nice when I pull up next to someone and they can't see into the car clearly.

I paid 150 for top of the line tint, at one of the best shops here in KC, only reason I say the above is because the guy who does the tint taught 4 of the other tinters in the area and teaches tint to others from out of state - anyways, here is mine -

yeah $150 is a good price for all 5...mine was $175 for 35% front & 20% rear, anywhere more than $200 is not worth it

I had 20% all around on my 05. It was beautiful, had it for 2 years until the Baltimore County cops pulled me over. Said it was for my tint, but they were running everyone's licenses to see if there were warrants.
Remember, our cars are like 78% tinted stock. If you need to be 35% legal, and have 35% put on, it'll be lower than legal.

So many neons so little time.
my friend got his done just this week at the place i am looking at going and they did all five for $200 with 20%. It was a little pricey but they tints were guaranteed for 7yrs. It would have been 3yrs for $50 less. After taking a close look a the tint shop's work, they did an amazing job.
I might take up the offer but i have to buy a computer power supply so i am comming up short. I'll have to think about it a little more before i decide.
