Coilover Questions...
So yesterday I called modern performance and asked if srt coilovers would fit an sxt and to my surprize they said no they are completely different I guess. Is this true? Also, what are the best overall coilovers for 1/4 mile racing. BC's, Ksport's, etc...?
oh modernperformance, their tech info isn't so great but their service is great.
SRT coilovers fit all 2GN neons. I should know i have srt NEX coilovers. I would go with the BC coilovers, they are amazing and highly adjustable. Also the mopar's have been known to blow with low miles on them. You also might want to look into getting NEX coilovers, they are very good for the price ($600-$700).

BC Coilovers with IPP 400+ lb/in springs. Damping could be better, but it is very very stiff.
Cars I've been through:
1989 Toyota Supra Turbo (still have it, non-running)
1994 Acura Integra (wrecked)
1994 Chrysler New Yorker (still have it, mom's now)
1990 Honda Civic AWD Wagon (stolen)
1998 Honda Civic LX (stolen)
1994 Nissan Pickup (bought from uncle, sold back to him)
2001 Dodge Neon R/T (wrecked)
1998 Lexus GS300 (current)
1999 BMW 528i Sport (current)

Well the unlike the mopars the BCs and NEX coilovers have a second ring that pretty much prevents the need for having a limit on how low you can lower the car.
Gunmetalneon- Be ready for a rough ride with the coilovers but, the handling will be amazing. The NEX have 450lbs springs. Some revised versions have 400s rate springs.
While u are building for the 1/4mile also buy race motor mount insert: they help with launches and reduce wheel hop. Also you will probable want to adjust your camber angle for the track so you get less drag from your rear tires. Most coilovers offer this. The NEX only has camber adjustments in the rear but camber plates or camber bolts are needed to adjust the front.
