found this on ebay, didn't know if i was the last to know but thought i'ld share anyway. Looks like poo poo in my opinion

The incoming air looks like it would be quickly going out from those vents in that location?

Yah, I don't like it. I wish someone would make an 00-02 hood with the SRT buldge without the scoop. Like OEM but have the buldge in it just without the scoop.

Anywho here's another hood that modern just released as well...

Seen it up close and personal sat. morning at modern and the scoop is massive...

Eh, not really... not like the DOHC buldge. If you look at the SRT hood it has a farly large buldge in the center to fit the air ducts under it. I want that buldge but without the scoop so it looks like a regular Neon hood just with a buldge...

I think it would too... but no one will make it and I don't have the skills to do it myself

Go look at your hood since you have an SRT hood on your car.... now compare it to this...

Notice how your SRT hood has a buldge in the hood for the air ducts for the hood scoop? The regular Neon hood is pretty much flat, no real budge with just a crease going down the middle. I'd like to see a hood where it's a cross between the two where there isn't any scoop at all but still has that buldge in the hood. So really, just picture an SRT hood without the hood scoop... that make sense? It's nothing fancy, nothing over the top, nothing that I think would look fugly... just something a little different that would make the front of the car look a little more agressive. I'm at work so I can't do any photoshopping lol

But I think I get the pic now... Sorta like the cobra hood..

I saw that hood on srt-4 forums and I thought it looked bad. I like the vents on every other car but neons. Also it looks like your engine bay would get soaked every time it rained. I am with diablo, I would only get a hood if it was subtle and didnt have a ton of holes in it.

i was going to do that with my SRT hood had i kept it. i just didn't like the gap / over hang

See, I've been saying this for a good while now wishing someone would make it but no one will, the demand just isn't there

Would be great in Kaminari made it since I love their quality but no one will make a hood for a car that isn't produced anymore, especially the Neon lol. And yah, Dan... it'd have to be build off a mold of the Neon hoods, not the SRT so it doesn't have that overhang. The overhang of an SRT hood looks pretty ugly to me
