SRT Catback
I was thinking about picking up the SRT cat back again, and i was curious. I know with the SRT mid pipe it has 2 resonators. Does the R/T have any or is it just a straight pipe going back to the muffler?
I don't have the time to really look under my car to check.

It will "bolt" right in with no mods to the exhaust. The inlet of the srt is the same diameter as the base Neon exhaust. the hangers and all line right up. the hardest part is getting the original muffler off. soak it with penetrating oil and some heat, tapping with a mallet will usally get it loose, then twist the muffler up and down to get it to slide off. This is assuming that your exhaust is not modified.2k1MotorSport wrote:eh.. that should be quiet enough for me, The cops never bother me around here with that kinda crap.
Now to get my friend to pick up the SRT axle back from her friend and get it fitted right.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Well, I want to say that there is a picture post about this, but in a nutshell there is a resonator box mounted behind the bumper in front of the drivers side front wheel. The intake are goes through this camber before it gets to your air box. Getting to all the fasteners can be tricky, but if you can remove the front wheel (optional) and loosen the front part of the fender splash shield, it will make things a lot easier.2001 ACR wrote:Alright, how do I locate and remove the resonator box in the intake assembly?Danteneon wrote:There is a bullet type chamber in the mid pipe which is a resonator for the exhaust. Not only will it free up the flow to the engine, but it saves a good amount of weight
Sorry about the thread jack
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
