Slipstreams and hubcentric rings

Post by Wenuden » Tue Jan 29, 2008 10:18 pm

I just bought a set of rota slipstreams for drag radials or slicks, and am wondering if they require hubcentric rings or not. If they do, does anyone know what size?

Not sure about the Rota center diameter but I know Discount Tire has a catoalog of tons of rings for any size you need.
Went there many times for friends and family who bought rims off someone, didn't get them, and wound up needing them.
I think they're like $12 a set.

Horsepower is how fast you're going when you hit the wall, and torque is how far you drag the wall with you.

Slipstreams are avalible with several different hub centric diameters. I got mine with the correct Neon size machined into the wheel, 57.1mm; so I didn't need the adapter rings. Slipstreams are avalible with larger and smaller than that, so you'll need to make the appropriate adjustments if needed with the rings.

Where did you get the rims?

I just ordered a set of 15x7 slipstreams from Modern Performance and now you got me worried. I never considered hub size...I figured correct bolt pattern and offest and I am good to go. I am guessing that they will be okay though...

I got mine from ebay. I'd be very surprised if Modern didn't have the 57.1.

got'em from modern. I compared the rotas to the extra set of srt rims I have, they appear to be the same, but not certian without a caliper.
