So Im waiting on a pair of clear side markers, should be here any day, can anyone tell me how to take the old ones out and put the new ones in. I looked in the how to section but couldn't find anything

It couldn't be easier. If you have a CAI, the left will be as easy as the right.
First, unplug the socket. 1/4 turn, and it's out. Behind the bumper (of course) there is a clip that retains the side marker lamp. Slide it (forwards or back...I can't remember!) Once the clip comes off, the lamp pulls out of the bumper
*Note, I will post pics of this tomorrow...it's too late now, sorry hon

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Either that, or simply loosen the fascia from the splash shield so you can pull out the cover a bit to give yourself more room. Do yourself a favor and do the right side first so you have an idea what you are working with.

Removing the headlight is entirely too much work for that littll side marker. I can get mine out in 30 seconds.
Reach your hand under the fascia and remove the clip that holds it to the bumper. Then pull out the bulb and it pops out.
1 minute tops

so after doing some searches i found this thread. i figured i would just ask my question here instead of making a new thread.
i am wanting to get some clear/smoked side markers with something other than the amber bulb.
after some searching i have come up with these:
markers: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-05-DO ... 3365ad4590
bulbs:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BLUE-T10 ... 2c5b3b82f1
are these all the correct sizing, everything should fit/work together? i am not 100% on the bulbs.
thanks.

The lenses will fit, but you would need a better LED than those. A regular incandescent bulb is best in those, as an LED will not really be any better. Just get a 194NA bulb and save a few bucks.
If you modified the back behind the lens to install an led board, then yeah, LED's would be a better option.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
