Get her a puppy! That will buy you a little time...

No shit eh

Will I be able to use my MPX 60mm TB with a 2.0 set up? If not I need to know what to start selling now.

I know the CAI needs to go and the TTI long tube header is def on it's way out

Just to safe you some time, PB Blaster works miracles on exhaust system nuts. Wish I knew about it long before I spent a few hours muscling the nuts that didn't move.

No reason you won't be able to use your MPX 60 with the turbo setup, just have to get some cold side piping to fit it.

Nice...should I get a stock SRT intercooler or just get a big FMIC from the start? I'm leaning more towards the Big FMIC

I would advise a intercooler LIKE stock, but NOT the stock one. That one takes 'fabbing' to the radiator support and the hot side is just a biotch, especially since it's egg shaped and in the way of things. But you defintely won't have the need for a BFMIC

You could get an I/C that's made for your car (i.e. sidewinder) & retrofit yourself a kit for it (somecustom plumbing on hotside).

I would deffinitly recommend reworking the turbo as much as you can before putting it on (i.e. porting, clipping etc..).

I assume I would have to talk to a mechanic about welding up an intercooler? I just don't see what would be a good position for the intercooler. I saw a member on here welded up one and had the CAI work as his cold side pipe.

I'm still researching this topic like crazy.

I really don't know how much this will all cost.

A 'sidewinder' intercooler like what Hahn offers is probably the best, like someone said earlier, you might be able to find one like it on ebay for cheap.

Always prepare to spend more, it's the little stuff that adds up right when your about to finish. I just got done installing mine and came out to a lot more than I was expecting, but in the end it's worth it. :D

I heard from a bunch of srt guys and rage-tek that it would be best to go BFMIC on the stock turbo. They claim that the stock intercooler heatsoaks way to easily and it would be convenient if you are planning on going bigger turbo as well...

Adionik, as for the cost, its always good to look for the best deals, I don't know about you, but i prefer some parts to be new rather than extensively used and then sold for cheap, but I am also doing a similar setup with that turbo and I can estimate that it will run me in the end about $2000 to $2500. And this doesn't include any other extra expenses that might come along the way...

I'm sorry, but there's absolutely no reason at all for him to get the turbo ported and clipped... its just a stupid idea all around

he's got a stock 2L....that turbo puts out more than his motor can handle as it is

Depends where you adopt I guess... If you can find one in some sort of classified section, no.. Even still, dogs are not cheap animals to buy from a breeder or a store.

That's true. I was considering a daschund, would run about $250+with shots.

Then I thought about getting a rabbit but i'm not sure how they are indoors and they smell

When you got the turbo, was there any play in the Shaft? Thats the first thing I would have checked IMO

I have no idea...the turbo is a foot away from me right now.

If it doesn't spin freely then it's a dud right?

Yea I wouldn't trust it if it doesn't.

Just give it a good spin with your index finger, if it spins relatively easy then you should be good. Also go wiggle the shaft and if it moves left to right or up and down or has any play in it at all then I would say yea.

I can get a used motor & transmission for the 2.0 for $100 bucks

I'm wondering where or not to turbo this one, pop it or something....and switch the other one in it

What year car did you put the stock SRT-4 intercooler on? I had no problems with mine or no fabbing of any radiator supports.

Also, the stock SRT-4 intercooler will fine for what you’re doing… On the stock block you will be limited on the power you can make. With the TD04 pictured is should take around 8-10psi to get to the limits. It took me 10psi, but my compression was low. I did have some fun on the highway at 16psi for multiple pulls against an SRT-4 and never had any ill effects. I don’t suggest doing this though…

I also don’t think you can do it for $2000.
