Blackhousing or Reg.

Black housing: *Not my car*
Image

My car now with shorty fiberglass painted to match eyelids.

I plan on painting the foglight bezels this spring, so they will look like this:
Image
I also plan on painting the stockers a silver or polish color. So the black painted stockers well, won't be black anymore. Rocking the Black LED Depo's right now too... I am torn on whether I should go the silver/stockish route or keep it black by adding the black bezel headlamps. I personally like the silver look and I am leaning towards that....

After getting black housing lights. I think stock chrome are hideous and laughable. Sorry for those i'm offending, but they seem too "blingy"

Go black housing...you'll love them. Although you do have a lot of silver so if you want to keep that theme DONT.

BTW you don't have short eyelids, you have S Style.

i voted to keep them stock since you're wanting to silver out. Go for that ultra clean look

black housing to break up all that silver. I'd even do the fog trim in a high-gloss black.

I love that srt emblem in the radiator duct, where'd you get it?

If you're color-matching the fog light bezels to match the car, then leave the headlights stock. I think it looks much better...

Either that, or leave the fog light bezels alone and get the black housing headlights.

From me if I sell them here in a bit. :)

IMO I believe black is played way too much on the silver neon. I checked out the silver thread in the srt-4 section and the black and silver is really strong... Don't get me wrong, it looks great and really grabs attention, but I don't know if I want to do that with my car.

I stand corrected on them being "S" style.
I don't understand how the stock headlamps are too "blingy" but I can see what you are saying on a yellow, black, or orange neon. Since I have a silver one it looks good. I will throw them on for a couple days once we get another warmup and see how I like em.... Thats the best bet.

4DRviper on srtforums. He takes the OEM Charger SRT-8 emblem and fabricates custom bracket for it.

Yeah you should probably stay silver. If you have the black housing headlights, it looks good when the fog bezels, rims and window tint compliment it. But then you'd be diving into that Silver-Black SRT group.

MY car personally has that black theme to it...so i'm biased haha

Then keep the exterior stock ;)

Well, the srt exterior attracts attention on its own, so even stock is a bit much for my taste.

i wouldn't normally say this, but...stick with the stock housings. i think your car will have a killer look with everything all silvered out!

I have been thinking about it for the past couple of days and I am going to go with the silver look. Whats the point of throwing the lamps on when I am just going to take them off. :tard:

So yeah, keep your eyes open in the f/s section here in a bit.

NOOOOOOOOOO- Do the black housing lights and keep the fog bezzels black. It helps break up the silver look a little. I think the black-eyed neons are better looking anywho... :D

 Nice.

But yeah I sold them like, two weeks ago for $110 shipped.

I was really thinking about what I like and I was going a bit crazy... I kept looking at the pictures and it finally hit me. I don't want the black and silver look. Its played out WAAAAYYY too much. It looks good and I give respect for the people that go that route but its not my choice. On the outer lense of the blk housings it was starting to fade a bit. I tried cleaning em up and it didn't work. I also read some posts about people saying how the outer lense is weak and turns to crap after a while, so that helped me want to sell them too. I want to keep it silver and clean and thats my final answer. :D
