We thought we had it all hooked up right but apparently not. This p. con (power control) hook up is the only thing i have no idea where it goes. Some help from a wiring guru would be pretty sweet. Kenwood kac 7201 800w bridgeable powering 2x 12's mtx

Where's the remote turn on lead? Look at the "P.Con" connection in the second pic. On most head units, the remote turn on lead is a solid dark blue lead. However, I don't know which brand/model that unit is. Also, can you please modify your post so there are two returns in between each image. I hate looking at my 2nd and 3rd monitors to view an entire post.

Edit:
Now that I've had a chance to look at a larger version of the last pic (blew it up on the big screen, it looks like that is a sony head unit with two preamps out and one in. If it is a sony, the turn on lead should be a solid blue color. If all else fails, you could get a high level input to RCA adaptor and just run the turn on lead from there if the Kenwood amp does not automatically detect (wouldn't be surprised) signal.

2nd Edit:
Removed pics from the quote.

Just run a jumper wire to the power to the p.con terminal. Just to make sure it will work.

Keep in mind ive pretty much never wired anything in my life, so the simpler the talk, the better.
If it is a sony, the turn on lead should be a solid blue color
Could you be a little more specific? Pull the blue out and replace with the p.con wire?

Connect a wire to the p. con terminal on the amp and connect the other end to the blue wire coming from the head-unit.

Way to be a help.

You need to find a 12V wire that is powered when the ignition is turned on. Something like an ACC slot in your fuse box. The ACC is powered when they key is turned on and powered off when the car is shut off. You need to run a wire from that (or a source similar) to the P. Con(?) on the amplifier. I'm pretty sure the "P.Con" is another term from the more familiar "Remote" wire location on any other amplifiers. Hope this helps a bit.

can someone get a bigger and better pic of the instructions....I think the wire that is coming from the plug that goes to the left is the exact wire you will need...I can't read what the instructions say or I could help you out...it just looks like the rest of the wires go to your normal speakers and not the amp or subs...I can see the instructions that great...Normally there is a blue wire or an accessory(sp?) wire that is mostly made just for amps...if you can find that one wire you have it made...

If all else fails and you can't get an answer(which I think you will get one) just strip, no cut, the yellow wire from the back of the cd player and just run a wire from that yellow to the p con on the amp...that should work....
