some 24# injectors...

Post by hul kogan » Tue Feb 19, 2008 1:38 pm

i am looking for some 24# injectors that connect to the stock style clips. i have seen some options for 24#ers that require the use of older style Bosch clips, but I don't want to deal with that this time around. basically i'm just looking for low impedance injectors that clip right in and work properly with the neon harness...

any ideas?

If you want bigger injectors that plug into the stock harness just got srt-4 injectors. Had stage 0 (stock) and now I am using stage 1's and everything works great. They are cheap and easy to find.

i need 24# for my application. 1's and 0's are way too much fuel. i have dealt with srt stage injectors on my previous setups and i love how readily available, cheap, and easy they are to use. they are really nice injectors, but just too much fuel for this setup.

so yea, 24# will do the trick...i just need to find some that use the stock style connectors.

you will out grow 24's its almost pointless the time spent trying to get them, my kit came with 24's and they were ok until about 8psi then leaned out. even with 36's i cant go much bast 11psi and i start to see the afr's start creeping back up to the 13's. Id get the biggest injector you can find and just do what you need to do to get it to idle... cough cough... MS... cough cough...

you may be able to pull enough fuel with an rrfpr but they can be pretty menstrual at times if you dont rub them right.

if not just clip the old injector harness and put the harnesses that fit the 24's on. its really easy.

good luck

i need 24# injectors for this application. they will be plenty of fuel. it isn't a typical setup...otherwise i would completely agree with you and so would my past experiences/setups when i used an rrfpr and staged injectors.

trust me, 24# are where i need to be for this setup. i know it seems like i am talking out of my ass now, but when i post my setup it will make more sense.

a bit ago i decided to bite the bullet and go with some brand new 24# Accel injectors even though they are an EV1 clip. i got a great deal on them (w/ clips) so i couldn't pass it up.

thanks to each of you for your input in this thread, though!

You wouldn't be setting up what I think you are setting up are you chris? :-k lol

Now I have heard that the 05 and up mustangs have 24lb'ers that SHOULD be able to fit since they are the EV6 type, tho Im not sure.

haha, I don't know what you are thinking...so maybe, maybe not!

those Mustang injectors look like they would be the ticket. it is nice to know that EV6 24#'ers do exist, for future reference. thanks for the info, Sean!

awesome, good info BRR! are all years of the jeep 4.0 injectors an EV6 clip?

the status uses either 19 or 24, not exactly sure on which, though...

i was kind of torn when i put it in the forced induction section. on one hand it does have to do with tuning but on the other it has to do with my turbo setup. oh well, it works in both...
