Post by Jwood1712 » Thu Feb 21, 2008 1:40 pm

Hey everybody...

I just joined the other day but I've been kinda referencing the forums for a while

anyway I'm Jeff from CT

I drive an auto 2000 es..It's that kinda girly colored red but it was a free car and over the past few years I've grown to just about love the car. It's got about over 120k miles on it with really only a few problems so far. the head gaskets are just starting to leak now for the first time and the ATF lines are dripping a little too. Everything else is still going pretty good The front bumper's cracked pretty bad on the bottom drivers side so I'm gunna try and replace that pretty soon maybe with something more attractive than the unpainted red plastic. She's still just about all stock right now but I'm gunna probably upgrade a few things later on when I have a little more money to spend. any ideas would be cool too.

that rant aside, just wanted to say hi, and I did so thats that. i'll post some pics eventually

Welcome! I think you will find a lot of good info here, and helpful folks as well (except for that "Helpful Counterguy"...don't know about him...)

And yes, get some pics (even crappy ones) up before the natives get restless (personal experience)
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

ha yeah well i believe it was blaze red originally but its pretty faded over the years but I've got some darker accents on it (smoked tails and side markers and hopefully window tints pretty soon) so it doesnt look so bad anymore

Well if you ever want a brand name intake. I have 3 iceman intakes left (shameless plug) They may be yellow but they are plastic and can be painted very easily.

Welcome to the board. There are a lot of good people here. We all like to help. Only thing I ask is that you shink your signature pic a little bit. Try to keep it about the size of mine and many of the others here.

Scott, have you no shame

thanks, I'm resizing it as we speak I keep reducing the size like 50% at a time and checking to see how it looks up there so it'll be smaller in a few.

they are pretty easy to install. You will however (to make it easier) take off the drivers side front tire.

EDIT: Frank... i have no shame :D

Welcome to the forum! My car's just like yours, bone stock, but a bit higher on mileage :( Both of my bumpers are faded too.

Welcome to the site! Adding an intake is very easy with basic hand tools. I recommend an auxillary tranny cooler for the transmission. They only run $40 or so dollars. Prolongs the life of the 3 speed ATX.

I wasn't really mechanically inclined at the time and had a shop do it.

It attaches to the front of your radiator and just run hoses to it. Comes with instructions. I had the B&M one.
