Fuel Pressure Regulator

on a 2005 sxt where is it located and howdo yo now if its working right? pics would be helpful thanks

The fuel pressure regulator is inside the fuel tank on Neons. This is how they get away with only running a fuel send line without a return line.

On one end of the fuel rail, there's a small black cap. If you unscrew that, there's a test port that you can attach a pressure gauge to. I think you should have about 45psi at idle. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll correct you. The '05's don't have a test port.

I will correct further, its not inside the tank, its on the top of the fuel canister.

so basically if i think my pump's going/clogged just get one anyways?

Just buy a 255lph. They are barely more expensive, and give you some more headroom.

with the walbro 255 dont you have to be modified to fit the neon?

It's not inside the tank, it's on top of the sending unit. You can change it in 15min.
