Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Wow, I never even saw this thread before... I kind of like the Cali's, they're kind of ugly, but kind of cool at the same time.
And I keep forgetting while PM'ing you about random shizzle, that you are "the scary looking dude" here on 2gn!

I have done some small things to the car. I have the passenger side DUB cladding on, but not the door caps
I will try and get some pics up. The car is filthy right now of course

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

just saw/read this thread, and with most everyone else, I agree, I kind of like the caliber now, as I didn't before.....
and no offence, but I always pictured you (dante) as a shortish guy named dante, with very tan skin, and like skin and bones skinny.....idk why, but putting faces to forum members, who you've recognized for forever as a car and text personality, is really wierd....
anyways, I'm glad I jumped in to this thread after Squishy time...and holy crap to the whole accident, pretty crazy

And because I said I would, here are some pics of the work so far to the exterior. Ignore the sad state of un-clean please.

More to come...

It is pretty quick actually. It has quite a bit of torque which makes traction a real challenge. But then again the Firestones that are on it really suck, so that is to be expected.Mat00ES wrote:I have to say I do like it, and Im kind of anti-caliber. Looks good, are they decently quick, I've never seen one actually go fast.

Looks good! I think some of those new DEPO black housing headlights would look slick on there!
PM me for your 03+ PCM SKIM/VIN flashing needs. Neon PCMs Plus
Yes, yes they would
I told my wife about them a while ago, and I said we should get them for her car. She kept saying she wasn't sure she would like them. We had a customer bring his car by after he installed them on his car (which is white). I brought my wife out to look at them and she gave me the look that means "You fucker, I hate it when you're right."
We will be getting them when the funds become available

haha. yessss! that will be a good mod. I think they'll look great on the black. I'm not a fan of chrome headlight housing to begin with. I would like to get some black housings for mine If I had the money too.

Wow, talk about irony! In the last update, we talked about black headlamp and how good they would look. Well the guy that had those headlamps in his car decided to sell them. So instead of shelling out $235.00 for the MPx projector lamps, we got his for $100.00

And since I still had my HIDs laying around from the BRR buyout...

The night shots suck. While shooting those I figured out how to manually get a white balance with this camera. Needless to say, without a tripod I was lucky to get them that clean. The bulbs are 6000k with no hint of yellow to be seen.
But now the hood gap is even more pronounced
I really hope we can get that fixed before Carlise.

The new headlights look AWESOME on it!
After seeing the odd hood gap, I had to start from the beginning to figure out what was up, and I'm glad I did. You've made a lot of really nice upgrades on it and it looks great. Like what seems to be the majority, I'm not a huge Caliber fan, other than the SRT's, but yours is awesome. I can't wait to see the SRT hood on it. I also look forward to seeing what you plan to do in the wheel department and when you decide to have those windows tinted...wink.

Thanks guys
suave23, you really have to stay out of my head
The wheels have bothered me for a while. They were fine when she was stock, but not so much now. I am looking hard at some different brands, but the wheels will have a black multi-spoke design with a polished lip. Like this...

If only I could afford them! It will be a much less expensive version that goes on this car. Oh, and they will be 20"
The windows should soon be tinted as well. Chrysler thought it would be hilarious if they didn't tint the windows in this car at all!
My ultimate goal is to get this registered for Carlise as well. But unless the hood is done I won't show it. But it will be there either way.

Yes, yes, and yes.
That style of wheel would look spectacular on the car and 20" would be a must to fill out the wheel wells. Tint is mandatory.
I agree with the wheels looking ok stock. My grandpa has an R/T with those wheels on it and I think they look pretty sharp, but his is 100% bone stock and looks like he just drove it off of the showroom floor. With the body kit and other aggressive looking styling on your modded Caliber, the wheels just don't cut it anymore.

Damn it looks good. I am considering buying a Caliber once I've paid off the Neon, but you're right, it's a pain to try and find one with a stick. I had one as a rental a while back when my Neon was in the shop and I enjoyed it. It rode well, I did not like the cheap feel of the interior and hated the CVT. It was horrible. You can barely climb a hill and every time I would accelerate from a stop it would kind of hop a bit like when someone doesn't know how to drive a stick very well. The ride in the SE is VERY squishy, too, just an FYI for you.
