1st gen springs

Have some questions about how to achive better handling and stopping power using different springs, upgrading to coilovers, questions on swaybars, bushings, different rotors, pads, ect... Having any steering problems or questions about steering racks, tie rods, tie rod ends, ect... ask these questions here.

i just got my springs and was wondering wich springs go where, they have these numbers 283, 416, 324A the other one had no tag.

the 283 you should have 2 of they should match right?, those are the rear.. 416 should be passenger side front, dont know about the 324, you should have a 414 for the drivers side front. or at least another 416, compared to the 416 is there any difference?, pics you can post?..

Not as such. Your 416's are sales code SDK (sport competition suspension) fronts, left or right. Your 283's are rear (all suspension codes :shock: ) left or right.

i'm not sure if i want to attempt this or not. I have never actually done it myself but i've watched a couple of times. Is there a how to?

go pick yourself up a haynes manual, that all me and a friend used, with no prior experience.

thats a link to complete FSM suspension guide.. page 14 and 48 i think is front and rear removal.. not as complicated as it looks..
