lol i'm just wondering if any of you guys get made fun of to for loving a neon because its no honda(no offence) but like i just got my lip kit and spoiler and everyone seems to laugh because i am dressing up a neon like

heh any car you drive youll get made fun of by someone just happens to be more for neons but i have a few times before but neons have alot of potential so just brush it off and keep ur love for car modding going.

I make fun of myself more than anyone else has(besides my wife, damn her). Any a-hole can go buy a fast car, or a car that will pull honeys, that is easy and takes no imagination. Making a car faster/nicer/original is the fun part.

exactly like my car was just another car and litterly up here there is nothing but honda's and acuras running the roads that are modded and its hard to even see a stock srt4 let alone some modded neon so yea i chose the neon to be different yea i can mod a honda quick but theres definatly another guy who looks the exact same and i'm sure there is with a neon to but i doubt i'll find him here

I get made fun of all the time. I don't mind them. Remind them politely that it's just Neon. A stable, inert gas found in nature and used to light up signs. I occasionally embarrass someone up in the canyons, and proceed to tell them they are so pathetic, they lost to a Neon, and thus should go off themselves appropriately. Ok, so the 2nd part is a lie, but the first part isn't. The Neon is a pretty astute handling FWD car, predictable understeer, and with the right setup, can fly through corners pretty fast.

I could care less when people make fun of what I drive. It's not like they own it or any of their business anyways. The thing has been quite reliable,it got me through school and the insurance is cheap.

That's why whenever I see a nicer car, I kinda ponder what percentage of their monthly income just goes to car payments. Or else they have a lot of disposable income.

I have ALOT of people make fun of my car. I have a big obnoxious body kit and a big wing. You would be surprised what I have heard. But on the other hand I have people that just drool over my car. I could care less if people hate my car. I love my car to death and would't trade it for anything. I put soo much time money and effort into my car. I built it for me. Not for anyone else. Do to your car as you please. And don't let anyone stop you.

Something in that vein happened to me last week at my part-time job when one of the other couriers couldn't believe that there is actually a club dedicated to Neons. If my Neon is such an embarassment, why are people always wanting to race me?

No matter what car you drive someone will bash it. If it's a Neon you have a shitty car, if it's a Ferrari you have no dick (or an itty bitty penis at best).
So f#ck everyones opinion about your car. Unless other people start making my car payments I'll just keep doing it my way and be happy with it.
I've had people call it the biggest POS rice whatever they've ever seen but, also had people take pictures of it while I'm sitting at a stoplight and give a thumbs-up!
So whatever.

At least I don't lose sleep waiting for someone to steal it for parts!

Really though, with gas hitting over $3 bucks a gallon and me getting an average of 30 mpg(26 city/34hwy) they can all just eat their hearts out, LOL.

Hmmm, never got any crap over the Neon, but had comments made about the Sundance Duster, to the effect of "that's a secretary's car" from your typical Corvette owner, I was like yeah, but I beat you to the finnish line at the Bank, how's payin' for the groceries for the wife and three kids workin' out for ya? That dose of reality usually shuts them up. Ya, it was a little meanhearted, but if you want to walk the walk...
