2.4 Swap into a RHD (england)

Doing a SRT-4 Motor swap into your Neon, maybe even a 2.4... have questions about it, what you'll need or what issues you'll run into? Answers can be found in here.

2.4 Swap into a RHD (england)

Post by Nihility » Sun Mar 02, 2008 4:33 pm

Hi guys,
The neon scene over here pretty much sucks! therefore i am wanting to put a bit of life into it by swapping the srt engine into my british neon.
Ive read the sticky, i know pretty much all the parts ill be needing, i just need to ask as im not a total proffesional.... what problems would you see there being? other than getting hold of all the parts and shipping them over (which would cost an arm and a leg).

As you guys are experienced, id just like to know what you think about this?
Hope you can help

if you can find a wrecked SRT4 owned by a US miltary stationed in the UK - you MAY get lucky.

That would be a sick swap, much better than importing an SRT. I know my hat would be off!

There was actually some guy that was selling the entire engine in scotland last june....and he only wanted £1100 for it, including postage! I just could not afford it at the time (as im a broke student). However i completely regret not buying it as theres been nothing of the sort since......... :cussing:
