Changing oil was kinda weird
So i changed my oil today and when i drained it i found out i only had about 2 1/2 quarts that came out. Not including the 1/4 of a quart that shot out when i removed my filter. Is this good? i mean i had no oil lights but that just seems a little low to me. I used Penzoil oil and a STP filter...I put a mobile 1 filter on now and MTx i think the oil is called oil. Just was curious if i should watch out. There were no oil spots in my garage

Some of the loss is probably due to the PCV system. The hose that comes out of the right of the valve cover into the intake. Usually just "air" is suppose to travel through there, but oil does as well. A fix for this is a catch can. There are expensive ones out there, but there is also a $20 one in the howto section.
You also might want to check if you're getting oil in your spark plug tubes. I was getting some in mine. When I reseated them, I noticed that my oil level did not deplete as fast.

Check your cam position sensor, on mine it leaks pretty good, but never leaves a puddle on the ground. Also check your oil more often.
You can try replacing the seal, but mine did good to last 6000 miles before it leaked again.

This month ive been driving it kinda hard to see what my gas mileage for the month would be so that could be also why

Check your intake manifold. I believe that MTX cars have more of a tendancy for pooling in the manifold because when you are decelerating in gear there is a very significant vacuum being pulled on the valve cover.
Since you used 2 qts in the course of an oil change you should check the oil about a third of the way through this upcoming oil change interval (every 1000 miles if 3000 mile oil change and about every 1500 miles on a 5000 oil change).

The cam positon sensor is on the driver's side of the head, it hides snugly behind the heater core piping. just get a good flashlight and check for oil dripping from the electrical connector/nearby area. It will seep from there down around the back of the bell housing and gets blown off by the wind from driving. Or like mine keeps the flywheel from rusting.
