floor leak STILL NEED HELP 3/19/08

No. Washed my hands until they were chaffed and bled, if that counts. My friend got it all over his jacket somehow when he was pulling stuff out of my trunk.

Ok, as far as your question is concerned, the SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME. A year back it was the tail lights. This would explain the water in the back seat area because the water leaks from the drunk down. In order to get the remaining water out of the spare tire area a guy at dodge drilled a very tiny whole and told me to park on a hill so some of the water could leak out. After my tails were resealed I noticed later on (approx. a few months back) and this leaking was due to something around my windshield that was bringing water down under my dashboard onto my passenger feet area (clearly I'm car literate lol). Eventually the water slowly started going over to the driver's side. You may need to just go to a stealership and ask them to check for any leaks. I know it costs more (the tails being sealed was like 80, and the other area was like 120ish) but I'd rather have someone to blame when it leaks again then to recheck it myself...

For the cat pee issue... visit your local pet store as they will have solutions that will neutralize the odour.

From your description I suspect a roving tom cat marked his territory on your doughnut.... so that is no ordinary cat pee.

I don't know if there's still a problem with anyone and their trunks leaking but I felt I should at least bring up one of the "rare" situations for leaks. Both me and my fiance had problems with the vents behind the rear wheel wells being stuck open and leaking water in. Also, the welding between the trunk and wheel well somehow deteriorated enough in pin point size spots that water was getting in (force from the tire didn't help I'm sure), basically our solution was to buy a can of underbody coating (like $3 at autozone or advance) and use the entire can behind the wheel well. It solved the problem and you can't even tell how ugly it is because the carpet covers it up!!

And we were able to locate this as the source of the problem by taking out the backseat and everything in the trunk including the carpet and then making sure everything is bone dry, wait till it rains and look for the trail marks, if it's from the tail lights you should be able to reasonably tell it's coming down from that side, or you'll see little water droplet trails leading from other places...

I hope someone is still looking at this because I get the same problem sitting still! I bought a nice 2002 Neon, parked it in my driveway pointing slightly uphill, and it sat there for about a month waiting up some screwed up title stuff. Anyway, after one rain storm, one car wash and several cool dew mornings, I found the spare tire well completely full of standing water. I sucked it out with a shop vacuum, and it was almost 4 gallons. I immediately pulled back the carpet below the tail lights, and it was soakd in the padding, but the tail ligth gaskets looked good and were dry. So I don't know if it came in the taillights or was wicked up to that area. The trunk rim weatherstrip looks solid and flexible, but I know looks can be deceiving.

Anyone get water standing still, and pointed on a slight up hill grade?

Im having a similar problem..not quite 4 gallons but still a bit of standing water in the spare tire area and down to the back seats. Seeing water in your car like that is heartbreaking

but i just picked up a cheap caulk gun and some clear silicon and im about to seal the tailights up hoping that fixes it..

I bought new gaskets from the Dodge Dealer and put them on the tail lights with black silicone gasket sealer. I think that solved the problem, but I haven't really soaked it with a hose to see if water is getting in. The car has been parked in a garage since I changed the gaskets.

Did you check the door weatherstrips also? I know mine was letting water in on the driver side a few months ago. Changed it and no leaks since.

I had the same problem with my car i found out that the rear rubber door seal on the passenger side wasen't sealing as well as is should. I changed the rubber (al four of them because i had a good deal with a friend of my who took it of a 2005 srt) and till now i have no problems at all with leaking. May it will help you good luck !

Have fun pulling your taillights off if you ever have to. Just go spend the $16 to get the two gaskets. Or just pull them off to see which one is the bad one, and pay only $8. Seriously, get the gaskets, put them on right, and you don't have to use sealant. I used silicone on my 3rd brake light cause I didn't feel like waiting to see if it was just the one tail light or a combination. Put the OEM gasket on (old one was ripped) and wow! No more water!
