comparison of 00-01 vs 01 r/t - 02 fog lights

Post by -Devil- » Wed Mar 12, 2008 4:30 pm

does anyone happen to have shots of the mounting locs for the 02 bumper or the 01 r/t bumper? ... still trying to figure out why the lights in my 01 bumper won't work in the others .. they look the same ...

and when searching for aftermarket replacements .. they are all turning up as 00-02 as a single unit .. not different peices ...

The '01 R/T and ACR and all '02 fogs are a different shape from the '00 and non-R/T-ACR fogs. The '01 R/T-ACR + '02 fogs are more slanted on side closest to the grille where as the other fogs are more straight up and down. It's a slight difference in shape thats a little hard to notice.

hmmm didnt realize mine were straight on that part .. will have to look at them again ..

if thats the case then i wonder .. if the aftermarket peices that are being sold are actually 01 r/t - 02 lights ...

will the later version fit in the early bumper? ... or is it a no fit no matter what? ...

holding off on my 02 bumper till i can source some decent priced fog light assy's ... may have to go aftermarket completly .. but would be nice to have ones that fit into the stock location without an issue .. instead of just a round light with some gaps around it.
