A question about a sub

Post by tommigun » Thu Mar 13, 2008 6:52 pm

I'm not really planning on upgrading my sound system yet because I need some wheels and other stuff first, but I could get a really good deal on this subwoofer: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fus ... ct_id=4941

My question is that, judging from the specs (not sure if that brand is sold in the states), would this sub be any good? I have no clue about what specs are good and what are not, but if it is a good one I'll probably get it for later use. Thanks in advance.

i've never actually heard a focal sub, but they do make some very nice components. the only real spec you would have to pay attention to would be the output of your amp. the sub is 4ohm, 250 watt rms.

hhahahha, not planning on upgrading........hehehe, that's a good one. If you bought those, you'd be buying one of the top of the line subs.

Yeah I had some Focal speakers on my previous ride and they kicked ass. That's why I got interested in this sub.

Well I take it then that it's worth 150 bucks for that sub in a box?

focal makes the cleanest sub ive ever heard as long as its on a clean amp of course. those subs are well worth the money, also ratail is NOT $269.99 suggested from focal is $229.99. we started selling focal where i work and i used to be a hardcore alpine guy and when i heard these i immediately replaced all my alpine stuff with focal... or at least trying too.

HOWEVER Fi-Audio makes subs that are good also and you have the option to customize it. check them out too
